The students had many adventures with Botley for the last three weeks. They learned how to code Botley's movements as well as build a black line path for Botley. Some students had success with looping and detecting obstacles. For the past week the students used their knowledge and whatever they found in their Robot kits in the activities you will see in the video (14:00) below. (Not all classes had an opportunity to videotape their experiences.) Some students also became the videographers for their own experiences with Botley. Enjoy!

February and March have been phenomenal in the STEAM Lab. The students were wearing their engineering hats to use the Engineering Design Process (EDP). The students did a great job solving problems and creating designs of their own. The videos below show different stages of the process. Mrs. Edwards Class - Engineering & BuildingOur next assignment is programming. The students will learn about coding and programming using the robot, Botley. First we will practice basic coding with Code Builder. Check out Mrs. Edward's class. This was their first attempt. (Notice all the collaborating taking place in these activities. Programming - Day 1 Every student practiced with Code Builder. After programming on the computers for about 10 minutes. They attempted to program Botley, the Robot.
